For those just viewing this blog for the first time, I've been tracking the #amtarot card of the day and its connection with current astrological conditions. #amtarot is an ongoing Twitter conversation in which a random card is pulled in the morning and you are invited to comment on it.
I like this conversation, because pulling a card in the morning and focusing on it is a good way to make friends and get familiar with your Tarot deck. Oftentimes, when you pick a card at the beginning of the day, it will provide you with insights into the way the day will unfold or bring out a theme worthy of your attention. For more information about this technique enroll in my free ecourse How to use the Tarot to access your intuition (you can sign up in the box on the upper right corner of this blog).
Watching the interplay between current astrological transits and the #amtarot card of the day has been interesting. Sometimes the connection is obvious, sometimes, less so.
Because I am an astrologer, also, I like to observe the interplay between astrology and Tarot. It is my experience that all of the metaphysical modalities support and illuminate each other.
Today's card is the Two of Cups. Each holds a cup and they both wear wreaths around their heads. Both faces each other and appear to be engaged with each other. The figure on the right reaches out to the one on the left.
Rising from them is a caduceus--their bond transforms their energy to create something greater.
This morning the Moon dipped into Scorpio, the sign of transformation and change. Scorpio's transformations ultimately result in healing and the caduceus is associated with the practice of medicine.
While I normally focus my interpretation of the card on the obvious partnership aspect, when set against the backdrop of the Scorpio Moon, I would look more closely at how the focus of the pair on each other--the power of two--is a transformative, creative, and healing force.
